These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Writease mobile application and associated services. By downloading or using our app, you agree to these Terms.
Overview
Writease is an AI-powered notetaking app with a built-in writing canvas. It enables users to take notes and instantly access 20+ AI study tools — including summaries, flashcards, mindmaps, quizzes, audio transcription, and more — all within a single app.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use this app. By using Writease, you confirm that:
- You are eligible to form a binding contract.
- You agree to comply with these Terms.
Account Creation
To access most features, you must sign in using:
- Google Account
- Apple ID
You are responsible for:
- Securing your login credentials
- Ensuring your account details are accurate and updated
- Not sharing your account access with others
Use of AI & Features
You agree that AI-generated content (such as summaries, translations, flashcards, mindmaps, quizzes, etc.) is provided "as-is":
- It may not always be accurate or contextually correct.
- You should always verify important outputs manually.
- You must not use AI outputs for unlawful or misleading purposes.
Intellectual Property
- The Writease app, logo, codebase, and design are the property of Writease.
- All features, graphics, and branding are protected under applicable copyright and trademark laws.
- You own the rights to the notes and content you create within the app.
Pricing & Subscriptions
The app is free to download and includes a Free tier with limited AI analyses per month. Full access to all AI features is available through a paid subscription:
- Basic and Premium (Monthly) — billed monthly via in-app purchase.
- Basic and Premium (Annual) — billed once per year via in-app purchase, at a discounted rate.
All subscription purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. By subscribing, you agree to our Refund Policy, which states that paid subscription periods are non-refundable. You may cancel your subscription at any time from within the Writease app; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Use Writease for illegal purposes
- Disassemble, reverse-engineer, or tamper with app code
- Attempt to upload harmful or infringing content
- Automate access or interfere with our services
Violation of these restrictions may result in permanent suspension of access.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if:
- You breach these Terms
- Required by law enforcement
- There's a misuse or abuse of the platform
Users can voluntarily delete their account and data from within the app at any time.
Disclaimers
- We provide Writease "as-is", with no warranties about reliability, availability, or suitability for a specific purpose.
- We are not liable for any damages, data loss, or consequences resulting from use of the app or AI errors.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved under the jurisdiction applicable to your place of residence, unless local laws require otherwise.
Corrections
There may be information on the Services that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions and to change or update the information on the Services at any time, without prior notice.
